Join us in celebrating 25 years of Walk MS!

The South Sound Walk MS will be at Chambers Creek Properties (Environmental Services Building) on Saturday, April 11, 2015. All members of the community are invited to join in the festivities at our "Walker Village" as we gather together to move closer to a world free of MS.

Walk MS South Sound Logistics

  • The walk begins at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine!
  • Accessible parking is available.
  • Snacks and water available.
  • Check out Walk MS vendors and sponsors at the event.
  • For the safety of other walkers, please leave your pets at home.
  • Wear your best orange outfit to support the MS Movement!

Parking Information

  • Parking is limited, please plan to carpool with other Walk MS participants if you can.
  • The 65 spaces closest to the Environmental Services Building will be reserved for Accessible Parking.
  • There will also be an Accessible drop-off location in front of the main building entrance. Volunteer parking attendants will be on-site to help direct you.
  • General parking will be in the remaining section of the lot, as well as the lower lot and around the perimeter of the main lot.
  • Some of the nearby residential areas also allow street parking.
  • Overflow parking will be available in a field directly across from the entrance to the Environmental Services building. Parking sections will be marked, and attendants will also be on-site to help direct you.

The Route

  • NEW! We will walk along the sidewalks of Grandview Drive parallel to our previous route on the path due to construction on the Chambers Bay Golf course.
  • The walk begins and ends at the Environmental Services Building.
  • The 2-mile route follows Grandview Dr. W. The 1 mile marker turn-around is at the intersection with Cirque Dr. W.
  • A 1-mile route option is available.
  • The route is on paved, mostly flat walkways and is accessible.

I truly believe there is a cure out there somewhere and I hope and pray it is found soon so no one else has to suffer.
